Description

The first chart shows the value of U.S. private fixed investment - particularly in mining, exploration, shafts and wells. The value is measured in bullion of U.S. dollars and is seasonally adjusted. The frequency is quarterly. The second chart shows quarterly and annual growth rates. The information presented in these charts may shed some light on the overall capital expenditure picture in the industry.

Historical data are available from March 1992 (Q1 1992).

The charts are interactive. You can click on any series in the legend to hide/show the data. You can also click on the chart and drag out a specific area you wish to zoom.
